The Creator of Truth about Abs

Saturday, July 2nd, 2011

Mike Geary, the author of the book, The Truth about Abs, as well as other health and fitness books, has become an Internet sensation among those who work out and look into issues of health and fitness, particularly in the area of losing weight or building muscles. This reputation has been rightfully deserved. He’s the creator of the program with the same name as his best-selling book. And, by best-selling, it’s the most popular abs-related book in the world. This accomplishment was the result of hard work, as well as a relatively decent marketing strategy (and help from connections in higher places, who have access to more avenues of advertising). Because ofhis program, the Truth about Abs, it’s worth taking a more in-depth look at the man behind the phenomenon.

Mike Geary graduated from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in science. Since then he has become a certified nutrition specialist and a certified personal trainer. He specializes in helping clients both lose body fat and strengthen and grow their muscles. Because this is what he does for a living, Geary decided this would be an excellent topic to write about. By writing these books, he was able to spread his knowledge to a much wider range of people. Placing them on the Internet made him an instant global success. Since then, he has been recognized as a Platinum Expert Fitness Author by E-zine. This has gained him even more attention from the fitness community, as E-zine articles are particularly trustworthy in terms of fitness related information. He has also become a co-author in both the Muscle and Fitness Magazine and Oxygen Magazine. Again, he has been provided with another medium through which he can provide the general populous with information on how to lose weight and build muscles.

While many fitness trainers and other health-related individuals will market a particularly fat-burning or muscles-building strategy, but live hypocritical, unhealthy lives, Geary actively engages in his own workouts and diet programs. On the same note, his diet program is rather different from much of the fitness world. He advocates the ingestion of foods such as whole fat milk, butter, fats, and even carbohydrates. This is because he bases his program off of how the body metabolizes these substances. Because these foods are processed the way they are, they’re actually beneficial in the fat-burning process. In other words, sometimes fat burns fat.

Geary does his best to help as many people as possible. He spreads his knowledge and stories of success through conversations in gyms, his many books and online articles, and even through radio talk shows. Although he doesn’t host the shows, he’s been asked to speak by many stations across the country.
